Hillsdale Joins Effort to Improve Civics Education
Hillsdale College is proud to join the America 250 Civics Education Coalition, an initiative of the United States Department of Education in collaboration with Hillsdale, Turning Point USA, America First Policy Institute, and other leading organizations. Announced on Constitution Day, the Coalition will lead national efforts to renew patriotism and increase the civic knowledge of students, educators, and communities.
During a recent visit to campus, United States Secretary of Education Linda McMahon joined the latest episode of the “Larry Arnn Show.” Sec. McMahon and President Arnn discussed dismantling the Department of Education, returning education to the states, and the importance of school choice. The podcast is available in both audio and video formats.
Hillsdale College alumna Vivian Turnbull ’25 has been awarded a fellowship from the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Turnbull graduated with a major in politics and applying the fellowship grant to her pursuit of a Juris Doctorate at Notre Dame Law School. Turnbull was one of only 48 awardees from a national pool of Phi Kappa Phi members.
Hillsdale football is set to open conference play in a big way this afternoon, as the Chargers face rivals and defending G-MAC champions Ashland. The game will be played at 1 PM today and is available to watch online.
